T-minus, uh, a few hours, and I'm flyin' off to Japan! Yep, the land of the rising sun!

After accepting a position as an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) for a company in Japan, I was told that I was needed there by March 19th, which is only a few days away. So, in order to make sure I'm there on time and can be ready for training, I'm leaving.

Tomorrow. At 7am.

My flight leaves at 7am, and in ~20 hours, I'm landing in a country I've never been to before: Japan.

Is this all part of the Japanoblog process? Yep, and this is the first official step. Kyle is staying behind to take care of a few things (such as his job and the cats), and he will hopefully be joining me in August or September - whichever is better for traveling, and after the documentation for the pets goes through.

Am I scared? You bet, but I'm also excited about this opportunity and can't wait to get started.

My apartment is going to have some basic amenities, such as a fridge, microwave, and such, but I'm going to have to buy the rest, including an internet hotspot (it was the best recommendation until I figure out a better long-term solution). I'm only about 2km from my school, so I can walk or bike. I already have some money to get started, including some Yen so I can go ahead and get some down-payments done.

I also included a video of what I packed and what I'm bringing (see https://youtu.be/KjysYYqkyT0 ).

This may be my last post (and video) until I get settled. Until then, good night, and take care Japanobloggers!
