Our third day starts exploring the other side of Kyoto with the famous Bamboo forest (and a temple), and the Gion district (yes, the Geisha area). Since we walked for so long, it really took it out of us. New Year's in Kyoto - Day 2 (December 31 2016)
We visit Kyoto for New Years 2017, and get a chance to explore some great temples and shrines (and other sites). Our second day starts with some closed places, but Kinkaku-ji (The Golden Temple) and Ginkaku-ji (The Silver Temple) are open, but crowded. New Year's in Kyoto - Day 1 (December 30 2016)
We visit Kyoto for New Years 2017, and get a chance to explore some great temples and shrines (and other sites, including Kyle's first hostel!). Our first day doesn't have much, but we do learn quite a lot. Tokyo Disneyland
We visited Tokyo Disneyland! Why? Because we could! Shopping at the Japanese Wal-Mart!
Okay, it's not actually a "Wal-Mart," but in Japan, it's the closest thing! A grocery store, hardware, clothing, housewares, bikes, gardening, a barbershop, a dry cleaners, and even a cafe! This place has it all! Kashima Jingu Martial Arts Demonstration and Visit
Keat and I visit Kashima Jingu to watch some really cool Martial Arts demos, along with exploring the shrine a bit
